Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] fialka for mentioning this. There are so few good places to hear new music nowadays that is not corporate-controlled bullshit. Internets, our nation turns it lonely ears to you. Woo woo woo. Drunk dial your congressperson NOW! Throw a fit, throw a brick, something. Do not go gently into the nightmare.

{Yes, I did have a dream about Debbie Boone recently where she had big crazy-poofy 80s hair and was singing in a lounge...I'd like to blame all this fuss about the Dirty Dancing re-release triggering long dormant and repressed memories of the 80s and of "You Light Up My Life," a song whose cultural repercussions were long and lingering in the hinterlands where I grew up, so much so that [livejournal.com profile] adastranot and I chose the song at our faux commitment ceremony in Hackensack in 1984. We were young, we were foolish, we had ice sculptures of our vaginas made and they were stuffed with frozen Snickers bars.}

ETA: Okay, I just noticed all my YouTube videos here are...gone. WTF?
