All the more amusing for me, because it's pretty much true.

This year I'm thankful that only one small-minded, annoying relative will be a Thanksgiving dinner. But it'll be the relative who annoys me the most...so maybe I'm not so thankful.

I'm jumping the gun a bit, hence your confusion. Thanksgiving in the US is always on Thursday, this coming Thursday as a matter 'o fact.

Hey baby doll! Luckily I'm not the one making dinner this time around (although I am preparing a pumpkin cheesecake)...but I think we are having most of the fixins. Bring on the bird!
