Did we ever think that the Dem. nomination would drag on so long, would be such a bloody battle? I know a lot of people are thinking of sitting it out if Obama becomes the nominee. Or, worse yet, voting for the Evil Empire. ("The Yankees?" you say. NO. I mean the other Evil Empire, the really really bad warmongering one, the one that is really for elitists.)

But before any of you contemplate voting for the presumptive Republican nominee, read this article on John McCain in the New York Review of Books. Any man who calls his wife a cunt in front of a group of reporters is not someone you should be voting for.

I'm thinkin' any man who calls his wife a cunt pretty much ever should not be someone for whom you vote.

I voted for Hillary way back in February, but it's getting ridiculous. Some of her rabid supporters went to the Committee yesterday and when the decision came down to split the delegate vote in half they were shouting "McCain in 08" and "NoBama." WTF?? Are these people really Democrats? I mean, what is their damage? LOL

Although I have to confess that I am sick and tired of voting for the lesser of two evils, not voting at all would never occur to me.
'Sitting it out' could have repercussions we can't even imagine yet.

Additionally, I vote so that I can complain. If you choose not to vote, well, then, choose not to whine. Because you had the chance.

Too bad we can't just airbrush him out of Washington.

Voting for McCain doesn't even compare on the 2000-Nader-Voting-Scale-Of-Wrongs! All said and done, Obama and Clinton are both excellent liberal candidates with very similar records and mandates, and only a little difference here and there. For the extremes in Obama and Clinton supporters, I just want to tell them to shut up, suck it up and vote for the winner, or else line the bunkers when McCain destroys the country.

And as for McInsane's legendary chivalry, he also joked about Chelsea Clinton being the ugly daughter of Janet Reno when the poor kid was in her teens. Yeah, somebody gag that bastard.

I am with you holygirl.

Ya, John McCain has his deep, dark issues, but my main motivation for staying the course with the Dems, even under the Obama banner, if that we almost have a Dem majority in the Senate and we have it in the House. Some things may be able to be accomplished for once. And maybe, just maybe, we'll be able to GET RID OF THAT DAMNMED ABSTINENCE INITIATIVE. Mygod, it still makes me so mad I could spit.
